MUSE Inspire 2026: Turning Complexity Into Clarity Across MEDITECH
MUSE Inspire 2026 brought MEDITECH leaders together around a shared reality: Health systems are navigating growing operational complexity with limited resources, higher expectations, and little margin for error. Across sessions, a clear set of themes emerged, including the need to stabilize core systems before advancing transformation, the importance of governance and standardization for long-term sustainability, and the value of using data to drive accountability and measurable progress.
Tegria’s sessions reflected these priorities, offering practical, experience‑driven guidance across user provisioning, revenue cycle performance, immunization interfaces, and MEDITECH MaaS optimization.
From Chaos to Control: User Provisioning Best Practices in Expanse
- Karrie Ingram, Tegria
User provisioning in Expanse is often underestimated until inefficiencies or security concerns emerge. This session reframed provisioning as a foundational project that requires early planning, defined ownership, and consistent standards. Attendees explored how role‑based design, clear governance, and thoughtful build decisions can reduce rework, support go‑live success, and simplify long‑term maintenance.

User provisioning succeeds when it is treated like a dedicated project, with clear ownership and role-based standards that reduce rework and support long-term maintenance.

Every Claim Matters: Building a High-Performance Revenue Cycle in MEDITECH
- Chris Paul, Huggins Hospital
- Tammy Adams, Huggins Hospital
- Erika Running, Tegria
This session addressed revenue cycle performance as an operational priority, particularly for organizations managing limited staffing and increasing denial pressure. Attendees learned how standard workflows, defined escalation paths, and shared accountability across billing, coding, and follow‑up teams can improve outcomes. The discussion also highlighted how MEDITECH data can be used more effectively to support daily management and continuous improvement.

We wanted to provide a repeatable framework for building accountability in A/R and denials work, and with a clearer view of how MEDITECH data can support consistent follow-up and measurable results.

Turning Frustration into Real Results: A Journey Through MEDITECH MaaS Adoption
- Gabe Behling, Box Butte General Hospital
- Carolyn Muhlbauer, Tegria
This session highlighted Box Butte General Hospital’s journey from post‑go‑live frustration to a more stable and trusted MEDITECH MaaS environment. Attendees learned how a structured remediation approach, grounded in transparency and collaboration, helped the organization move forward. By listening to frontline concerns, cataloging issues, and establishing governance that aligned IT, providers, and leadership, Box Butte was able to focus on meaningful improvements while restoring confidence across the organization.

We shared how Box Butte stabilized its MEDITECH MaaS environment by cataloging and prioritizing hundreds of issues and building strong EHR and provider governance models. By delivering quick remediation wins, we were able to rebuild confidence and maintain momentum.

Solving for Stability: How to Keep Immunization Interfaces Connected and Sustainable
- Ashley Hall, White River Health
- Therese Hawes, Tegria
Immunization interfaces play a critical role in clinical care and public health reporting, yet they are often difficult to maintain over time. This session focused on the technical and operational foundations required for long‑term interface stability. Attendees gained insight into common VXU and QBP challenges, the importance of accurate vaccine dictionary configuration, and how proactive monitoring can reduce recurring issues and support reliable data exchange.

We walked through a structured approach to keeping immunization interfaces stable by strengthening configuration and vaccine dictionary accuracy, troubleshooting VXU/QBP errors, and putting sustainable monitoring and resubmission practices in place.
