Core Responsibilities of the Role

Technical

  • Participating in cross-functional efforts to resolve technical issues, chronic problems, and technology integration challenges through the enterprise
  • Installing and maintain the administrative and monitoring tools for Epic EHR systems
  • Building and administering the ODB environments for production and non-production needs
  • Building and maintaining clustering
  • Managing logins and security for user access to Caché and Chronicles
  • Configuring and maintaining environment refreshes, both automated and manual, per the customer’s environment strategy
  • Practicing site-to-site failovers
  • Applying Caché/IRIS and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production environments
  • Administering diverse Linux/AIX/SAN server platforms
  • Engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources
  • Creating complete and accurate documentation for work based on customer documentation standards
  • Owning the overall health of ODB systems by working closely with other members of the technical team
  • Responding to emergency and after-hours issues
  • Analyzing and solving migration issues and mitigating fixes and resolutions
  • Staying up to date on the latest services, innovations, and market trends
  • Developing use case scenarios and plans of new capabilities and driving their adoption
  • Supporting and being deeply involved in the hands-on technical delivery of projects
  • Evaluating and documenting current-state processes through discovery and analysis
  • Presenting recommendations for improvements based on industry experience and best practices
  • Building, testing, training, converting and/or deploying new infrastructure, workflows, policies, and processes
  • Documenting measurable outcomes through KPI analysis and impact tracking
  • Serving as a liaison between diverse IT and operations groups
  • Adhering to departmental best practices and guidelines
  • Consulting with more senior team members on work approach and work product
  • Developing your skill set and increasing your proficiency in your discipline

Internal Team Development

  • Creating and maintaining documentation of team processes and procedures, including operating manuals and training materials
  • Contributing to personal and team development by participating in training activities and team events, while sharing your experience and expertise to help your team grow
  • Participating in internal team projects for Tegria’s strategic growth
  • Modeling and holding fellow team members accountable to company values
  • Contributing to team objectives and outcomes

Business Development

  • Contributing to marketing materials and/or blog posts to promote Tegria services and outcomes
  • Leveraging industry connections and knowledge to identify potential business development opportunities

What we're looking for

We expect:

  • 3+ years of Epic ODBA experience delivering project or program enhancements within a healthcare organization or healthcare consulting or managed services practice
  • Epic ODBA certification
  • Proficiency with Linux, AIX or UNIX operating systems
  • Proficiency with scripting (PERL, BASH, etc.)
  • Demonstrated understanding of monitoring, tuning and administration of Caché/IRIS databases
  • Experience with project management or other organizational management practices such as risk management, or change management
  • Comfortable with working remotely and/or traveling to client sites
  • Experience with at least one Epic implementation or upgrade
  • Able to work successfully with moderate supervision and latitude for independent judgement

We'd love to see:

  • Additional Epic Technical certifications (Cogito, ECSA)
  • Familiarity with SAN systems and managing storage for Linux, AIX, or UNIX systems
  • Experience with two or more Epic implementations or upgrades
  • Experience in Healthcare IT
  • Experience managing resources in Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Operating knowledge in Cloud technologies (Azure DevOps, PowerBI etc.)
  • Experience providing excellent customer service while supporting multiple clients
  • Experience with at least two or more Epic implementations or upgrades

Travel requirements vary by project; 25% or less

Exempt employees are eligible for benefits. W2 hourly consultants are eligible for benefits for contracts that are 2+ months and 20+ hours per week. 1099 hourly consultants are not eligible for benefits.

$74,000/yr - $105,000/yr
