Techquity Q&A Part I: Health Equity by Design
Article Nov 08, 2022
Tegria is a proud member of the recently-launched Techquity for Health Coalition, partnering with Stanford University School of Medicine, HLTH, CHIME, Aetna/CVS, Bellin Health and Gundersen Health Systems, the National Minority Health Association and many more organizations to assimilate health equity considerations into healthcare technology innovation and data practices across the industry.
The Coalition defines techquity as the strategic design, development and deployment of technology to advance health equity, and encompasses the notion that technology can inhibit advancements in health equity if not implemented intentionally and inclusively.
At HLTH 2022, Tegria’s Theresa Demeter led a session with the American Hospital Association’s Leon Caldwell, Ph.D., on why techquity matters and how it can bring new value to our work.
We’ll have more to share at ViVE 2023, March 26-29, in Nashville, with the rest of the Coalition. Please reach out if you’d like to connect.
