Supervisory

  • Supervising a small team of analysts and associate analysts by delegating work, monitoring progress, and evaluating work product for timeliness, quality, and compliance with policy and procedures
  • Leading and facilitating 1:1 conversations to discuss existing assignments, issues, and to review priorities
  • Promoting employee growth and development
  • Participating in employee onboarding
  • Maintaining an active list of successes and improvement areas by team member for use in 1:1 conversations and performance evaluations
  • Documenting action plans (performance improvement plans) when team members require corrective action
  • Coordinating and leading daily team activities
  • Assisting with management decisions and activities
  • Providing feedback about team members to management
  • Following and enforcing guidelines, processes, and procedures to accomplish objectives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with the management team on the implementation and improvement of team-wide initiatives
  • Managing client escalations as they arise
  • Monitoring team utilization and client satisfaction
  • Participating in quality assurance monitoring and quality improvement initiatives

System Analysis and Support

  • Developing and implementing system solutions to fulfill customers’ requests for MEDITECH application modifications to address new/changing business needs resulting from changes to regulatory
  • requirements, insurance company requirements, addition/removal of hospital services, or other IT applications
  • Assessing your client’s needs, goals, and current application build
  • Documenting business requirements for proposed system changes
  • Determining workflows; configuring and testing application build
  • Ensuring build meets business requirements without causing downstream or cross-functional problems
  • Applying systems analysis techniques to perform root cause analysis and recommending solutions that align with industry and MEDITECH vendor best practices
  • Escalating issues to MEDITECH vendors on behalf of your client; building, testing, and validating vendor proposed solutions
  • Escalating issues to 3rd party vendors on behalf of your client; collaborating with these vendors on build, testing, and issue resolution
  • Advising on the deployment of enhanced system functionality based on your client’s needs, goals, and environment
  • Delivering high quality Tier 2 routine maintenance and break/fix for multiple clients, in accordance with contracted SLAs
  • Providing Tier 3 project support to multiple clients
  • Adhering closely to customer policies surrounding change control and build documentation
  • Learning and understanding the latest MEDITECH vendor recommendations and recommending implementation of best practices depending on client environment
  • Collaborating with Client Success Managers to assist with client requests
  • Providing outcome data to your Client Success Manager
  • Staying current with MEDITECH system certifications and application knowledge

Internal Team Support

  • Contributing to the overall growth of the team
  • Engaging in active mentorship of other analysts in your areas of expertise
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of the knowledge base, workflows, and other documentation
  • Participating in interviews, internal meetings, and division strategy and growth
  • Helping to scope potential new engagements
  • Managing priorities set by your manager and director
  • Developing new processes and improving existing processes in pursuit of team goals
  • Contributing to team and organizational objectives
  • Supporting clients during client-designated business hours
  • Participating in after hours on-call support, as required by client contract

General

  • Knowing, understanding, incorporating, and demonstrating our mission, vision, and values in behavior, practices, and decisions
  • Complying with all HIPAA policies, procedures, and training requirements

What we're looking for

We expect:

  • Post-secondary degree, a healthcare-related professional certification or licensure, or an equivalent
  • combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years’ experience providing MEDITECH system application support
  • Demonstrated leadership skills gained through experience as a customer lead, project lead, or as a team
  • lead or supervisor, or similar
  • Demonstrated pattern of taking initiative, driving for excellence, and pursuing continuous improvement
  • Ability to work closely with and mentor other team members, helping them to learn new skills and
  • improve their abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of the application support function within the organization
  • Positive energy and interpersonal skills with the ability to be relatable to both your team and your clients
  • MEDITECH vendor certification in one or more applications with confident ability to expertly support and mentor
  • those applications
  • Strong application knowledge and familiarity with relevant workflows
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills with client leadership, project team, and operations
  • Willingness to work on client management as well as day-to-day application support and internal projects
  • Physical and sensory demands available upon request

  • 2+ years’ experience supervising and growing a team of technical resources in delivering support to customers
