The role you play

An effective Sr. Proposal Manager will help the organization on a whole achieve success through:

  • Plan and execute content and visual design strategy for complex RFPs and proposals, producing timely, compelling, persuasive deliverables.
  • Lead cross-team and cross-company projects to develop deliverables including evaluation, prioritization, project management, contracting, content strategy, writing, editing, packaging, and submission.
  • Fully manage all proposal content and gather feedback. Solicit and edit content from subject matter experts.
  • Develop and champion the Tegria voice and style in your writing and interactions.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement best practices for content creation, storage, and versioning within cross-company knowledge management tools. Manage documentation, template, and tool storage on SharePoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Design the visual communication and strategic content plan for intricate RFPs and proposals.
  • Elevate the proposal’s visual appeal and readability through the utilization of advanced proposal software and the application of expert-level graphic and presentation design techniques.
  • Create graphics that tell a story, are cohesive and easily understood.
  • Write engaging and compelling content; edit, proofread, and format RFP responses.
  • Adapt RFP responses into dynamic presentation formats when needed, along with speaking points.
  • Fulfill complex team service requests and develop processes and content to simplify or automate repeated requests.
  • Develop project schedules and update project management methodology to incorporate company processes, teams, tools, markets, and client needs.
  • Create templates for agendas, tools, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate meetings on contentious topics involving many stakeholders, gaining timely decisions, well-defined next steps and follow-ups to ensure on-time, quality deliverables.
  • Leverage your specialized skill set to serve as a thought leader on the team and mentor less-experienced team members.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and 1-1s with your leadership team and relevant cross-functional meetings.

  • 6+ years of strategic proposal management experience
  • 8+ years of writing and/or editing experience
  • Mastery of technical and persuasive writing and editing skills, including grammar, syntax, punctuation, style, and corporate voice.
  • Expert skills in graphic design and presentation applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Keynote, Sketch, InVision, PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with automation tools in proposal and content management.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and market opportunities and adapt content to reflect how company services meet these needs and opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT industry topics.
  • Exhibit excellent writing, editing, graphic design and content strategy skills. Produce well-edited and error free written communications and documents.
  • Meet deadlines while producing excellent work.
  • Direct people, operations, or projects capably, confidently and respectfully.
  • Articulate thoughts clearly and fully, accurately conveying ideas and reasoning.
  • Identify impact of changes within own area and initiate or contribute to change management planning.
  • Build related processes and tools that increase efficiency within and among departments.
  • Perform highly complex work with extensive latitude for independent judgement. Work independently without guidance or oversight and monitor your own work progression.
  • Prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and allocate time efficiently to meet objectives.
  • Identify and resolve deficiencies before reaching critical impact

We'd love to see:

  • APMP certification preferred
  • Prior experience writing for healthcare IT and/or professional services industry
