The role you play

An effective Sales Operations Manager will help the organization on a whole achieve success through:

Sales Support Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating and coordinating recurring Sales meetings, such as division and leadership meetings
  • Leading the planning and execution of Sales events and industry conference attendance
  • Onboarding new team members to the Sales team
  • Establishing consistent, sustainable, and scalable operational support tools, roles, and processes relating to the internal division management for topics such as: Account Management, Opportunity Management, Knowledge Management, Client and Consultant Contract Management, Sales-to-Delivery-to-Sales Hand-offs, and day-to-day analytics
  • Participating in project intake and scoping
  • Liaising with business development and supporting prospecting activity accountability


  • Serving as a SME for technology initiatives related to Sales tools
  • Pulling in sales experts as needed for the design, communication, and implementation of changes that impact sales
  • Being the primary stakeholder for Sales vendors such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Definitive Healthcare, and Design Pickle
  • Being the voice of Sales in technology, process, policy, and communication initiatives
  • Being the face of Sales for change management initiatives

Content Lifecycle Management:

  • Coordinating, reviewing, and maintaining Sales-related content including team policies, sales enablement collateral, and internal knowledge content
  • Example content includes pitch decks, opportunity guardrail policies, Sales Knowledge Hubs, etc.

Financial & Analytics:

  • Managing pipeline consistency processes, report-outs and follow-ups with individual stakeholders, and overall ensuring a high-quality pipeline
  • Tracking financials and KPIs including booked sales, quarterly and annual incentives, pipeline development, and forecasting
  • Providing insight into regional and individual performance by defining key Sales performance metrics and deploying analytics, dashboards, and metrics infrastructure
  • Analyzing trends across division, team, and individuals and bringing awareness to relevant leaders for necessary action (mitigation, education, win/loss analysis, etc.)

Long Term, Team Management Responsibilities:

  • Hiring, retaining, and motivating team members
  • Ensuring team members are set up for personal success with sustainable and meaningful work, room to grow, and support
  • Enabling staff development through training and coaching
  • Creating a pipeline of future leadership for the department
  • Solidifying and documenting service menus and business activities across Sales Operations
  • Creating and maintaining educational tools to support team members
  • Planning and executing team gatherings, such as retreats and inter-team meetings
  • Facilitating performance reviews
  • Incorporating diversity and healthcare equity as a guiding principle of internal development and client-facing delivery

What we're looking for

We expect:

  • CRM (Salesforce preferred) administration experience and/or extensive experience as a CRM user
  • 2+ years working in a sales or sales technology support environment
  • Practical experience brainstorming, conceiving, and implementing cradle-to-grave ideas
  • Experience developing teams and individuals to perform at their highest potential
  • Intermediate project management experience with a special focus on:
    • Process documentation and improvement
    • Policy creation and roll-out
    • Internal change management strategies

We'd love to see:

  • Experience reporting Salesforce data in PowerBI functions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience operating in a consulting or professional services organization
