Custom Development & Integrations Consultant – QA Engineer, responsibilities and Assignments:

Client Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating on project activities and deliverables with fellow Bluetree team members. Participating as a member of a project team, working closely with Bluetree professionals and senior leaders to meet our customer’s needs. Could be full-time on a single customer engagement or part-time across customers.
  • Owning meeting scheduling and coordination, preparation, documentation, and follow-up
  • Utilize existing project tools, templates and project plans, as applicable, per assignment.
  • Documenting current-state processes through discovery and analysis
  • Participating in future-state workflow, policy, and process design and planning
  • Building, testing, training, converting and/or deploying new infrastructure, workflows, policies, and processes
  • Participating in major milestone reviews and decision gates
  • Presenting to a wide variety of audiences
  • Identifying measurable outcomes resulting from initiatives through KPI analysis and impact tracking
  • Effectively utilizing communication, decision-making, and escalation pathways
  • Participating in project wrap-up through outcomes documentation, lessons-learned, and leave-behind materials allowing customers to sustain ongoing operations

What we're looking for

We expect:

  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Meet with the software/product designers to determine quality assurance parameters
  • Design QA test plans, procedures, and reports to support best practices for SDLC to improve development process, efficiency, and performance and to ensure all products meet the highest quality possible
  • Create, execute, and maintain automated unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to verify functionality, automate regressions, compatibility, and performance testing to run against web and windows applications
  • Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
  • Document results of tests for the development operations team. Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
  • Help evolve and implement and maintain and automation framework development
  • Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies
  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
  • Work together with the developer to enhance and improve programs
  • Maintain updated knowledge of QA best practices trends and advancement

We'd love to see:

  • 3+ years of experience in web-application testing.
  • Experience working in project management and QA methodology
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Familiarity with Agile framework and regression testing
  • Working knowledge of test management software and SQL
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience testing security, authorization, access
